Trial Lesson
New prospective students will start with a 30-minute FREE trial lesson, including a consultation.
This gives us time to get to know each other, assess the student’s level and goals, and answer any questions.
Age/Levels
I teach students of ALL levels, age 4 and up including adults.
Lesson Options
Lessons are offered in 30, 45, 60 minutes privately each week.
Lessons are offered both in my studio or at your home with an additional fee of $20 per lesson.
Lessons can be conducted in either English or Chinese.
Lesson Content
During the VIOLIN and VIOLA lessons, you can expect the following structural content:
-Left hand techniques
-Bow arm techniques
-Technical studies
-Scales/Arpeggios
-Etudes
-Repertoire
During the PIANO lessons, you can expect the following structural content:
-Finger exercises
-Technical studies
-Scales/Arpeggios/Chords
-Etudes
-Repertorie
-Theory and Ear-Training
Basic music theory, ear-training, sight-reading and improvisational skills will be included in the lessons.
Regular studio performance class, videotaping, formal student recitals, examinations and competitions will be arranged when students are ready.
Tuition
Tuition is due on the first lesson of each month via Venmo.
Monthly rate consists of 4 weekly lessons. If there are 5 weeks in that month, an extra lesson fee will be added to that month.
VIOLIN
-30 minute sessions=$160 per month
-45 minute sessions=$240 per month
-60 minute sessions=$320 per month
VIOLA
-30 minute sessions=$120 per month
-45 minute sessions=$180 per month
-60 minute sessions=$240 per month
PIANO
-30 minute sessions=$80 per month
-45 minute sessions=$120 per month
-60 minute sessions=$160 per month
30 minute lessons are recommended for younger beginners under age 8.
45 minute lessons are recommended for beginner/intermediate level.
60 minute lessons are recommended for intermediate/advanced level or those who wish to accelerate their learning.
Make-Up Policy
Should the student or teacher need to cancel a lesson, a make-up lesson will be scheduled at a time convenient to everyone or extra time will be added to the following lessons.
In the case of major holidays or severe illness, a lesson may be canceled with no further make-up.
Students are allowed to have one make-up lesson per month.
Books & Supplies
Student will receive a music journal/assignment book and a sheet music bag for FREE.
Tuition does not include other books, sheet music or supplies.
I, as the teacher, will make a list of all necessary items after the initial consultation.
